Yulo Self-Order Kiosk
A touchscreen kiosk for ordering and paying for laundry at the outlet.
About the Project
Besides the app, Yulo customers also walk into outlets. To keep the cashier queue short, Yulo installed touchscreen kiosks where customers can order and pay for laundry services themselves.
We built a web-based kiosk app with Laravel and Tailwind CSS, connected to Yulo’s service and transaction data in Firebase. The interface is large and clear for a portrait touchscreen.
Key Features
- Touchscreen self-order: Customers start from the welcome screen and pick services by category, such as per kilo, per item, carpets and sofas, express, or self service.
- Cart and vouchers: Quantities and add-ons can be changed, and vouchers reduce the total right away.
- Service number: Customers enter their service tag number so staff know whose order it is.
- QRIS payment: A QRIS code appears with a countdown, and payment status is checked automatically.
- Receipt printing: The receipt prints straight to the outlet’s thermal printer once payment succeeds.
- WhatsApp handoff: A QR code to pass the order details to the customer’s WhatsApp.
Outcome
Customers can order and pay without waiting for a cashier, while the outlet receives each order with its receipt right away. Kiosk orders are stored in the same system as the Yulo app.
