About the Project

DulurKoi is a koi auction platform for koi enthusiast communities. Koi auctions usually happen in group chats, with an admin recording every bid by hand. That is error-prone and exhausting when many people join.

We built an auction bot that works right inside WhatsApp and Telegram groups. On WhatsApp, the bot connects through WAHA Plus. Bidders simply type their bid in the group as usual, and the bot records it, validates it, and announces the result automatically. The DulurKoi website lists running auctions, the details of each fish, and its bid history.

Key Features

• WhatsApp and Telegram auction bot: Bidders bid directly in the group, and the bot records and replies to every bid.
• Open bid, increments, and BIN: Each fish has a starting price, a bid increment, and a buy it now (BIN) price. A bid that reaches BIN closes the auction for that fish automatically.
• Automatic extra time: Bids in the final minutes extend the auction, with reminders a few seconds before it closes.
• Auction broadcasts: Auction start, fish recap, and auction end announcements are sent automatically to the group and the admin.
• Manage auctions by chat: Admins create auctions, add fish, and upload photos, videos, and certificates just by messaging the bot privately.
• Fish catalog website: Pages for running auctions and each fish’s details, with a button to join the group.

Outcome

DulurKoi auctions now run automatically from start to finish. Admins no longer record bids one by one, bidders instantly see where their bid stands, and rules such as increments, BIN, and extra time apply equally to everyone.
