HMTA UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta E-vote
An online voting app for a student association election.
About the Project
The Mining Engineering Student Association (HMTA) at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta held an election for its chair. The committee needed a secure online voting method where each student could cast only one vote.
We built a web-based e-vote app covering everything from voter verification to the vote count.
Key Features
- Voter login: Students sign in with their student ID and a password from the committee.
- Voter verification: Voters upload their student card or study plan, and the committee verifies it before election day.
- Voting schedule: The committee sets the verification deadline and voting window, and the homepage shows the current status.
- One vote per student: The system ensures each voter votes only once.
- Vote count: The chart page shows how many students have and have not voted.
- Admin panel: Manage candidates, voter data, and results.
Outcome
The election ran online without gathering everyone in one place. The committee followed turnout and got the results in real time.
